Experience
I'm affiliated with the American Red Cross and I have learnt more from that affiliation than I ever did in a class room. The American Red Cross has taught me a lot! English and mathematics tutor at Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, IN I would like to be a tutor because I grew up in Uganda, Africa, where the education system was lacking, and if it wasn't for the wonderful tutors at my school,I would never have made it this far in my education. I am currently running a blog; Retail-Journal.com, all about the fascinating and ever changing world or the retail industry. I also run a podcast, "The Retail Journal Podcast," and on this show I interview young and upcoming entrepreneurs, as well as veteran business owners on what makes them tick, what drives them, and what life-lessons they have learnt while running their business. I did not go to "podcasting school" and I did not take out a bank loan before starting a website and a podcast. I taught myself how to do all this on a very narrow budget. So you, too, can learn whatever it is you want to learn, you just need to have a great tutor/mentor backing you up.
